Taking Care of Oily Skin During Winter: Green Tea Face Mask
Oily skin requires extra attention during the low-humidity winter months. Using harsh cleansers packed with chemicals can take away much needed moisture out of your skin, leaving your skin feeling sensitive and uncomfortably dry.
Remember, when the skin is dry, your sebaceous glands work harder to produce more sebum and this will ultimately lead to acne!
Green Tea Face Mask!
Green tea is full of antioxidants and powerful antibacterial agents that treat acne and unclog pores. Labothécaire’s Pure Rebalancing Clay is high in antioxidants that work to rejuvenate the skin and remove dead skin cells while Labothécaire’s Pure Rebalancing Toner treats acne and blackhead and controls sebum production.
This Mask is Suitable for Oily Skin
What You Will Need:
- 2 Tablespoons of Pure Rebalancing Clay
- 1 Tablespoon of green tea powder
- 1 Tablespoon of Pure Rebalancing Toner
Preparation: In a small bowl combine all three ingredients and mix well. Do not use metal spoons or bowls as they can neutralize some of the clay’s properties. Instead, you can use ceramic or wooden bowls.
Application: Clean your face using Labothécaire’s organic face cleanser, the Pure Damascus Rose Soap and gently dry your face using a cotton towel. Apply the mask and let it stay for 15 minutes. To remove the mask, massage your face in a circular motion to exfoliate and get rid of dead skin. Rinse off with warm water and then apply the Pure Rebalancing Toner. Lastly, you can lock in the moisture using the Pure Miracle Oil that helps maintain skin's hydration and softness.
